Olympic ticket scalpers

I had thought that since there was such a high number of Olympic tickets and events available, the ticket scalpers would have to drop their prices a few days into the games. It turns out that if the scalpers can't get the high prices they want, they're eating the tickets in order to keep the demand up and ensure they'll get paid for the remainder of their tickets.

Hello Eric,

My name is Jose Fermoso and I'm with Wired.com.

I'm emailing to ask you about your experiences at the Olympic ceremony this past Friday. I'm particularly interested in finding out more about your experience with the RFID check-in line and the technology present there.

I wrote a piece a couple of months ago about the possibility of chaos at the lines:

I have some questions if you're interested. Please email me at jose_fermoso@wired.com.
